Octavio Juan Perez-Velasco, M.D., is a Family Medicine physician with decades of experience serving diverse communities in both private practice and academic settings. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his Family Practice Residency at UMDNJ–Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Perez-Velasco has provided comprehensive care in solo practice and previously held roles as Medical Director and Assistant Professor, mentoring future physicians and advancing culturally competent care. His clinical expertise spans chronic disease management, preventive care, and senior health, with a strong commitment to improving quality of life for older adults. He has contributed to community health initiatives, emergency response education, and faith-based outreach programs. Outside of work, Dr. Perez-Velasco enjoys spending time with family, volunteering, and participating in faith-based activities.
