Dr. Panarat Pongsakul, DO, specializes in geriatrics and family medicine. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency training in Family Medicine at Unity Health White County Medical Center, followed by a Geriatrics Fellowship at UT Health Houston. Dr. Pongsakul cared for older adults in inpatient, outpatient, nursing home, and home-based settings, helping patients maintain their independence and quality of life. She also served as Chief Resident and participated in quality improvement initiatives focused on reducing hospital readmissions and improving care transitions for seniors. Her work included projects related to dementia care, elder abuse prevention, value-based care, and healthcare innovation. Dr. Pongsakul believes in compassionate, patient-centered care that prioritizes what matters most to each individual. She entered healthcare because of her passion for solving complex problems, helping people, and creating meaningful change for patients and the healthcare system. She is especially passionate about healthy aging, dementia care, and health policy. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling.
