Dr. Raul Alejandro Martinez-Perez joined Conviva as a fellowship-trained, board-certified internal medicine specialist. Dr. Martinez-Perez performed an emergency medicine fellowship at Methodist Hospitals in Memphis, Tennessee, from 2013 to 2014. He completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, from 2010 to 2013. During that time, he participated in multiple conferences, presentations, and case discussions. He also completed standardized procedural training in central venous placement, internal jugular and subclavian, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis at Jackson Memorial Hospitals Center for Patient Safety in Miami, FL. In 2009, he attended the International Post-Graduate Observership course in the Department of Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from the University of Medical Sciences of Sancti Spiritus and the University of Villa Clara in Santa Clara, Cuba, from 1994 to 2000. Dr. Martinez-Perez holds Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, ACLS, and Basic Life Support, BLS, certifications. He enjoys patient care and interacting with patients, family members, and staff.
