Dr. Raymond Lakin joined Conviva as a board-certified family medicine specialist and Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Lakin performed his fellowship in family medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. He completed his residency in family medicine at The Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia, as well as in the surgery department of McKeesport Hospital in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. He earned his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Montserrat, British West Indies. As an undergraduate, he studied Pre-med with a major in Biology at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida, and transferred to David Lipscomb Christian College in Nashville, Tennessee, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Lakin is affiliated with Holy Cross Hospital as courtesy staff. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Florida Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Society of Bariatric Physicians. In his free time, Dr. Latkin enjoys fishing offshore and scuba diving, and he holds a black belt in karate.
