Dr. Rene Vasquez, a fellowship-trained, board-certified family practice specialist, completed a general practice residency and fellowship at Grant Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, in 1975 and a rotating internship at Cebu Institute of Medicine in Cebu, the Philippines, in 1970. Dr. Vasquez earned his medical degree from Cebu Institute of Medicine in 1969. He has served as acting chairman of the Department of Family Medicine of Grant Hospital in Columbus, OH; chairman of family practice of Lincoln Park Hospital in Chicago, IL; president of the medical staff, chairman of the department of medicine, director of Internal Medicine Services, Geriatric Clinic, and Assistant Director, Ambulatory Care Services, of Thorek Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. He also served as a U.S. Immigration Civil Surgeon and as an attending physician at Swedish Covenant Hospital, Illinois Masonic Hospital, Thorek Hospital, Glencrest Nursing Home, Lakeview Nursing Home, and Harmony Nursing Home. He has been recognized as a Regional Top Doctor by Reuters. Dr. Vasquez treasures the confidence his patients place in him.
