Robert E. Tome, M.D., specializes in family practice and believes that preventative medicine is the key to a long healthy life. At Conviva Forest Hill, he leads a team of compassionate, patientfocused primary care professionals with a commitment to medical excellence. Dr. Tome completed his residency training at St. Joseph Hospital in Reading, Pennsylvania, where he was the chief resident his final year. He served an internship in internal medicine at St. Raphael Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut, and earned his medical degree from the University of Dominica School of Medicine, presently known as Ross University, in Portsmouth, Dominica. Dr. Tome’s honors and awards include a Certificate of Achievement presented by Humana for outstanding and dedicated service to their members and achieving a 5-Star Rating for HEDIS performance; Medstatix Top Performer; and Notable Physicians of Palm Beach County by the Palm Beach County Medical Society and Palm Beach Illustrated. He is a member of the American Medical Association and his professional affiliations have included the Palm Beach County Medical Society, 2015-2018 Executive Board-Treasurer and 2013-2018 Board Member; PBC Plus MSO, 2014-2018 Board Member; Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches, Inc., longtime Board Member and 1997-2001 President; Humana Health Plan, 2007-2017 Quality Assurance Committee; Palm Beach Physician Alliance, 1994-2000 Board Member; One Source Tri-County IPA, 1995-2000 Board Member; QIC HIP, 1997- 2000 Chairman; and JFK Medical Center, 1995-1998 Board Member and Department of Family Practice 1995-1997 Chairman. Dr. Tome enjoys fishing, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.
