Dr. Rodolfo Herrera Barter, a general practice physician, earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Santiago de Cuba, receiving the Golden Seal for academic achievement. Dr. Herrera Barter practiced family medicine in rural areas of Cuba and Venezuela, completed a family medicine residency at the University of Santiago de Cuba, and interned at Auxilio Mutuo Hospital in San Juan, PR. He has co-authored research published in the Medical Scientific Journal of Holguín and Human Medicine Journal, spanning hypertension, heart conditions, and infectious diseases. Before joining our center in 2024, Dr. Herrera Barter, a member of the Medical College of Surgeons of Puerto Rico, practiced at AssociatesMD in Plantation, FL, and previously with CareMax, Quick Family Urgent Care, and Garcia Saez Medical Group, focusing on underserved and older adult populations. He believes in taking the time to listen to patients to enhance their health and quality of life. Valuing his work with senior patients, he is passionate about geriatrics, brain health, and epidemiology. Dr. Herrera Barter chose medicine to serve his community. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the outdoors.
