Dr. Sarah Lopez, a board-certified internal medicine specialist, completed her internal medicine residency at Corpus Christi Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, serving as chief resident of Internal Medicine in her final year. Dr. Lopez earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Erie, Pennsylvania. She completed her medical degree in three years as part of the Primary Care Scholars Pathway at LECOM after obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biology, With Honors, from Penn State University in Erie, PA. As an internist, her strengths include managing chronic conditions, including diabetes and hypertension, as well as rheumatologic, kidney, pulmonary, and liver disease. She is also interested in preventative medicine and helping patients to age gracefully. Dr. Lopez, originally from Wattsburg, a small town outside of Erie, Pennsylvania, moved to Texas with her husband in 2017. Before joining Conviva, Dr. Lopez practiced at another primary care office in San Antonio, Texas. In her free time, she enjoys reading, the outdoors, and being with her family. Her husband, Dr. Ethan Lopez, also practices at Conviva, and the couple has a daughter.
