Shannon R. Prevette, M.D., specializes family medicine, complex care, and geriatric patient care. At Conviva Legacy Place, she leads a team of compassionate, patient-focused primary care professionals with a dedication to medical excellence. Dr. Prevette served her intern year PGY-1 year in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Louisiana State University at Shreveport in Shreveport, Louisiana from 20002001. She was awarded with a Teaching Resident of the Year Award 2000 to 2001 and completed a residency at Santa Rosa Family Practice in San Antonio, Texas, from 2001 to 2003. Dr. Prevette earned her medical degree from East Carolina University School of Medicine, now Brody School of Medicine, in Greenville, North Carolina, 1996 to 2000. As an undergraduate, she attended East Carolina University, obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in social anthropology and linguistics from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in North Carolina, where she also furthered her studies in pre-med and chemistry. She has three children, enjoys reading, travel, and martial arts.
