Dr. Stella Rodríguez Barrios joined our center as a fellowship-trained primary care physician. Dr. Rodriguez Barrios performed an occupational medicine fellowship at the Colombian School of Medicine in Bogota, Colombia. Her medical journey includes a chief intern position at San Gerardo Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and a rotating internship at San Jose Hospital in Popayan, Colombia. Dr. Rodríguez Barrios earned her medical degree from the University of Cauca in Popayan, Colombia. Before joining us, Dr. Rodríguez Barrios volunteered in medical missions with Friends of the Missions, a non-profit organization that organizes medical missions in underserved regions abroad. They provided medical care in Yoro, Honduras, and Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, areas affected by natural disasters. Dr. Rodriguez Barrios connects with older adults from the heart, believing in the power of listening to her patients to enhance their health and quality of life. This philosophy reflects our center's values. Dr. Rodríguez Barrios chose medicine to make a meaningful impact on people's lives. Outside of work, she enjoys learning about different cultures. She loves to dance and practices Zumba regularly.
