Dr. Sundas Irfan Ahmed, MD, is an internal medicine physician dedicated to providing patient-centered primary care and preventive medicine. She earned her MBBS degree from Shifa College of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Nassau University Medical Center. Dr. Ahmed has experience caring for diverse adult populations in both outpatient and inpatient settings, with a focus on chronic disease management, preventive care, and evidence-based treatment. Throughout her career, she provided comprehensive primary care, educated patients on managing their health, coordinated care with multidisciplinary teams, and supervised resident physicians in the hospital setting. Passionate about helping others and serving her community, Dr. Ahmed believes that listening carefully to patients is essential to improving their health and quality of life. She is particularly interested in diabetes care and works to help patients better understand and manage chronic conditions. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family.
