Mrs. Yaimy Fernandez Armas, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP, specializes in family medicine and behavioral health. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree in Cuba and completed specialty training in Family Medicine before continuing her education in the United States as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Mrs. Fernandez Armas later became a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and completed advanced training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. With more than 30 years of healthcare experience, she provided comprehensive care across a variety of clinical settings, treating acute and chronic conditions while emphasizing preventive medicine, wellness, and patient education. Her clinical interests include cardiovascular health, diabetes management, kidney disease, geriatric care, and mental health. Mrs. Fernandez Armas believes in treating the whole person by integrating physical and mental healthcare through compassion, education, evidence-based practice, and shared decision-making. Outside of work, she enjoys supporting lifelong learning and promoting health and wellness in her community.
