Dr. Yanayra Becerra Duque, a board-certified family medicine specialist, completed the NYMC Family Medicine Residency Program at Hoboken University Medical Center in Hoboken, New Jersey, in 2020. Dr. Becerra Duque earned her medical degree from the University of Medical Sciences Ernesto Guevara de La Serna in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, in 2008 and served as a general physician at the Leon Cuervo General Hospital in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, and in rural areas of Totonicapan, Guatemala. She has co-authored published research on topics such as Multimodal analgesia in patients with abdominal surgery, as well as presentations. Before joining Conviva, Dr. Becerra Duque saw patients with the Neighborhood Health Center, HUMC, in Hoboken, New Jersey, and earlier in her career, with Leon Cuervo General Hospital in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Her accolades include the Family Medicine Resident Award for Scholarship by the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors and the North American Primary Care Research Group. Dr. Becerra Duque is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. In her free time, she enjoys travel, learning about new cultures, watching old movies, and loves the beach.
