Dr. Yen Flores Pazos, MD, is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship from the University of Miami/Jackson Health System. She earned her medical degree from Hispano-American University in Costa Rica. Dr. Flores Pazos completed her Family Medicine residency at Keralty Hospital in Miami, where she also served as a study coordinator and sub-investigator for multiple clinical trials, including those focused on COVID-19 and opioid use disorder. Her clinical experience spans outpatient primary care, emergency medicine, and geriatrics, with a strong emphasis on chronic disease management and elder care. She has worked in both the U.S. and Costa Rica, including roles in emergency departments and community pediatrics. Dr. Flores Pazos has also contributed to geriatric research at the Miami VA and Westchester Research Center and has published on gastrointestinal involvement in SARS-CoV-2. Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, biking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and daughters.
