Dr. Yira De La Paz joined Conviva as a board-certified family medicine specialist. Dr. De La Paz completed her family medicine residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University in New York City. She earned her medical degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. As an undergraduate, she majored in Biomedical Engineering at Syracuse University and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Spanish from Rutgers University. Before joining Conviva, Dr. De La Paz worked as a hospitalist, overseeing ten to twenty patients daily across three hospitals. In her private practice, De La Paz Medical and Weight Loss, she offered comprehensive care, including routine primary care and exams. She assisted patients with weight loss systems, addressed hormonal disorders and infertility cases, and tested and treated various allergic disorders. Dr. De La Paz is passionately committed to addressing the healthcare needs of older adults, strongly emphasizing patient-focused care that mirrors Conviva's compassionate core values. Dr. De La Paz chose medicine to impact people's lives positively. She enjoys exploring her interest in sports medicine and women's health.
