Jenet George, M.D., is board-certified through the American Board of Family Medicine. At Conviva Deland, she leads a team of compassionate, patient-focused health care professionals with a dedication to medical excellence. Dr. George completed a family medicine residency at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, from July 2014 to June 2017. During that time, she provided community outreach medical care to inmates at the Ector County Jail and juveniles at the Youth Detention Center. She also cared for underserved psychiatric patients at Permian Basin Community Center and senior patients at nursing homes and long-term care facilities. She also performed research to develop cost-efficient 3D orthotics for children, delivering an oral case presentation that obtained 2nd place at the Texas Tech Annual Research Day. Dr. George earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Miramar, Florida, in August 2013. As an undergraduate, she received a Bachelor of Science from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in May 2008. Dr. George is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, AAFP. She has traveled to remote villages in western Uganda to assess geriatric patients with limited medical care and resources. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
