Doris Bustamante Evans, ARNP, FNP-BC, is board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the Florida Department of Health. She holds certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Fotona Laser. At Conviva Normandy, she provides compassionate, patient-focused primary care with a dedication to medical excellence. She is pursuing a Post MSN Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatric Mental Health at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Family Nurse Practice from the University of North Florida, in May 2016, completing 1000 clinical hours. She obtained a Certificate in Public Health from the University of North Florida in May 2014. Ms. Bustamante Evans has received numerous honors and awards including the 2016 Barbara Fletcher Contribution to Nursing Science Award, 2008 BSN Inspirational Life Leadership Award, 2007 Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, 2006-2008 Seattle University School of Nursing Deans List, 2006 Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, and the 2003-2005 National Deans List. Among her notable achievements is the publication of Evans, D.B., & Meires, J. (2016), Chikungunya Virus: A Rising Health Risk in the United States, and How Nurse Practitioners Can Help Address and Reduce the Risk, in The Journal of Nurse Practitioners, Volume 12, Issue 5, Pages 289298. Ms. Bustamante Evans is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Florida Nurses Association. She enjoys soapmaking, baking, hiking, traveling, Pilates and Zumba. She speaks English and Spanish fluently.
