Hal S. Bendit, D.O., is board-certified through the American College of Osteopathic Medicine. At Conviva West Boca Raton he leads a team of compassionate, patient-focused health care professionals dedicated to medical excellence. Dr. Bendit completed a family medicine residency at Metropolitan Hospital in Springfield, Pennsylvania, and a rotating internship at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As an undergraduate, he received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. Dr. Bendit serves as a clinical associate professor of family medicine at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and on the Alumni Board, Past Presidents Council, of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Bendit currently volunteers as a faculty instructor with UNE Global Health Partner and as a medical adviser responsible for health and well-being of adult participants with Down syndrome at five different locations of Live Up Programs around the country. His outreach has extended through the community and internationally over the years including the Global Smile Foundation, the Allentown Health Bureau, Camp PALS, the U.S. Public Health Service as a civilian volunteer following Hurricane Katrina, and as a founding member of the Allentown Volunteer Medical Reserve Corp.
