Sherry Burkett DNP, APRN is a board-certified Adult- Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner in 2016. She is known to emphasize openness, compassion, and flexibility in her care. She is dedicated to understanding each patient's life experiences and health goals. She values the relationship between provider and patient and strives to build a foundation of trust to guide patients through a healthy and active life. She earned her Doctorate in Nursing in 2021, Master of Science in Nursing in 2014, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012 from The University of South Florida. She is Board certified by ANCC and is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She has received honors from Sigma Theta Tau. She sits on the board as a member of the Advanced Practice Provider Steering Committee where she can help to foster change and empower others in her profession. She and her husband have two grown children. Outside of her work, she enjoys traveling, boating, and cherishes quality time spent with her family.
