Barrie McCrimmon, ARNP-C, a board-certified nurse practitioner, earned her Master of Nursing Sciences, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, from Florida Southern College in 2013 as a member of Sigma Theta Tau. Ms. McCrimmon earned her BSN from the same institution graduating cum laude and as a Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nurses inductee. She received an ASN from Polk Community College in 2002, where she developed community involvement programs as a clinical nursing lab specialist. Before joining us in 2024, Ms. McCrimmon provided primary care with WellMed in Plant City, FL, and previously with Millennium Physician Group in Fort Myers/Port Charlotte, FL, and at Advent Health in Dade City, FL. Her earlier roles include positions at Brandon Regional Medical Center and Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Specializing in the needs of older adults, she is passionate about heart health, brain health, and addressing loneliness and socialization issues among her patients. Ms. McCrimmon chose healthcare to help others and serve the community. In her free time, she cherishes moments with her family, traveling, and the outdoors.
