Evelyn Nieves, M.D., is board-certified in family medicine. At Conviva Care Center South Pembroke, she leads a team of compassionate, patient-focused primary care professionals with a commitment to medical excellence.
Dr. Nieves completed a Family Medicine Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, Florida, from 1999 to 2002. She was honored with an Excellence in Behavioral Science Award. She earned her medical degree from the Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico, in 1999, distinguished with the Family Medicine Award. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, in 1993. She attended Palm Beach Community College in Lake Worth, Florida with a Pre-professional Health Scholarship and received an Associate Degree in General Studies in 1990.
Dr. Nieves practiced at Columbia Medical Centers in Greenacres, Florida, from 2012 until joining Conviva in 2022. She maintained a solo private practice, Barclay Medical MSO, in Greenacres, Florida, from 2010 to 2012. She served as Associate Medical Director of Leon Medical Centers in West Hialeah, Florida, from 2003 to 2010 and Staff Primary Care Physician from 2002 to 2010. Since 2011, she has provided medical care to homebound or international patients on an urgent or chronic care basis in Broward and Palm Beach Counties with My Home Doctor in Coral Gables, Florida. In 2010, she provided care at Occupational Medicine Centers of America/Urgent Medical Centers of America in Hollywood, Florida.
Dr Nieves is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She enjoys family travel.
