Kermith Saul Vega Cartagena, MD, is a board-certified Family Medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico, and completed his Family Medicine residency through the UIW-TIGMER Family Medicine Residency Program in San Antonio, Texas. Throughout his career, Dr. Vega Cartagena provided comprehensive primary care, managed acute and chronic conditions, and focused on helping patients achieve better long-term health outcomes. His experience includes serving as a Family Medicine physician and working in clinical support roles that strengthened his understanding of patient care and care coordination. Dr. Vega Cartagena is passionate about diabetes management, exercise, and preventive care. He believes that taking the time to listen to patients is essential to improving their health and quality of life. Outside of work, Dr. Vega Cartagena enjoys spending time outdoors, going to the movies, listening to music, hiking, and mountain biking.
