Leopold Chery, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and is certified in the American Heart Association basic life support, BLS. At Conviva Care Center East Plantation, he provides compassionate, patient-focused primary care with a commitment to medical excellence.
Mr. Chery earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Florida International University in Miami, Florida, and served over 200 hours of clinical rotations. He also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, and an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth, Florida. A Foreign-educated Physician, Mr. Chery earned his medical degree With Honors from Ross University School of Medicine.
His recognitions include the Dean's list, Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing; and Faculty of the Year, 2013, Dade Medical College. His research on "Interprofessional collaboration in healthcare education and clinical practice," was published in the Integrative review: Preceptorship with Dr. Deborah Sherman, Ph.D, at Florida International University. Mr. Chery served as a professor of nursing at Renaissance Health Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida, in 2019.
He practiced as a family nurse practitioner, primary care and geriatrics, at Amicus Medical Centers in Plantation, Florida, from 2021 until joining Conviva in 2022. Mr. Chery is a member of the Florida Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He has volunteered for the Special Olympics, providing health screenings for underserved communities in Miami-Dade County.
