Dr. Michael Fialho, a board-certified internal medicine specialist, completed his residency in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, and received a Golden Apple Teaching Award for teaching excellence during his residency. Dr. Fialho earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was awarded a Joseph Collins Academic Scholarship and a McClellan Academic Scholarship for academic achievement and teaching excellence. Dr. Fialho has been recognized through the NCQA Diabetes Recognition Program (DRP). Clinicians who achieve DRP Recognition show their peers, patients, and others in the Diabetes community that they are part of an elite group publicly recognized for their skill in providing the highest-level diabetes care. Dr. Fialho's interests include aviation and military history. He is married and has three sons.
