Dr. Rekha Talla, MD, specializes in family medicine and geriatrics. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree from Osmania Medical College in India and completed her Family Medicine residency through Mercy Health Partners, followed by a Geriatrics Fellowship at ProMedica St. Luke's Hospital and the University of Toledo. Dr. Talla brought more than 20 years of experience caring for adult and geriatric patients in primary care, hospital medicine, private practice and Veterans Affairs settings. She provided preventive care, chronic disease management and comprehensive treatment focused on improving quality of life and maintaining independence. Her experience also included serving as an Assistant Professor and voluntary faculty member, helping educate future healthcare professionals. Dr. Talla believes that taking the time to listen to patients is key to improving their quality of life and health. She entered healthcare to make a difference in people's lives by helping them put their health first and is especially passionate about diabetes care. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, listening to music and spending time outdoors.
