Dr. Stanley Xavier Cal joined Conviva as a board-certified internal medicine specialist. Dr. Cal completed his internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine. He earned his medical degree, With Honors, from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in 1986. He holds a B.A. in Biology cum laude from Harvard College. For over 20 years, he was an assistant professor of internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in HIV and AIDS care. His distinctions include an NIH Summer Research Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital; Betty Youngman Volunteer of the Year, Tarrant County AIDS Interfaith Network; Hospital Hero, Rio Grande State Center; and the American Registry Patients' Choice Award. He has co-authored papers in medical publications, including Investigative Dermatology, the American Journal of Medicine, and Dallas Medical Journal, and presented at international conferences. Dr. Cam served as a Physician, Grade 15 (Civilian) at the Primary Care Branch Health Clinic, Naval Air Station, Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth, TX. He loves spending time with his family and enjoys sports, music, dancing, gardening, and the beach.
