Tanya N. Bedward, M.D., MS, received board certification through the American Board of Family Medicine, and she holds basic life support, BLS, certification. At Conviva Wellington, she leads a team of compassionate, patient-focused primary care professionals with a commitment to medical excellence. Dr. Bedward completed the University of Kansas Medical Center Family Residency Program in Kansas City, Kansas, in 2016. She earned her medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara School of Medicine in Guadalajara, Mexico, in December 2010 and attended a one-year program of supervised clinical rotations at New York Medical College School of Medicine in Valhalla, New York. Dr. Bedward obtained ECFMG, Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, certification in April 2011. She received a Master of Science in community health and development with Honors from the Tropical Institute of Community Health and Development in Kisumu, Kenya, in July 2001 and a Bachelor of Artis in International Relations, from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts, in May 1999. Dr. Bedward’s practice experience spans hospital emergency room, urgent care, outpatient, and primary care settings. She served on the pharmacy and therapeutics committee of Oregon Medical Group working to promote evidence-based processes; as a resident member of the University of Kansas Family Medicine Clinic; and as a faculty leader at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Bedward is a member of the American Academy Family Physicians, the Florida Academy Family Physicians, and the American Medical Association. She enjoys fitness, reading, photography, choral singing, and new adventures.
