Mirna Avendano, APRN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Mrs. Avendano has extensive experience in the field of nursing. In 2011 she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with certifications in Emergency and Intensive Care in Universidad Del Este in Puerto Rico. In 2020 she earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing, her practicum rotations were focused on family medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and women's health. Mrs. Avendano is also currently serving part time in the U.S Army as a Family and Aviation Nurse Practitioner where she's worked in several medical missions in country and abroad. In the summer of 2022 Mrs. Avendano completed the AMEDD officer leader course at the Medical Center of Excellence in Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas, culminating in her affiliation to the Army Medical Regiment. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Florida Association of Nurse Practitioners, US ARMY Nurse Corp, and Society of US Army Flight Surgeons. In her free time, she enjoys books, movies, traveling, and spending time with her family.
